July 2011.

It's only the 4th of July and it's already been a successful month, but not in the usual way. This time it's been Herbie who has been winning things. I took him up to the British Volkswagen Festival VW show up at the Three Counties Showground in Malvern this weekend. He was part of the club display and on Sunday we all entered our cars into the 'show and shine' competition. I'd spent all weekend washing, polishing and waxing Herbie so he looked at his best. To my suprise he was 2nd in the 'Best Standard New Beetle' catagory and won 'Best Daily Driver' in our club awards - go Herb!!! On top of this our club (www.evvo.co.uk) won the trophy for Best Club Stand which was excellent as all our members had put lots of effort into turning up and displaying their lovely Bugs.

Herbie spent a lot of the weekend posing for photos and amusing children!

Here's some pics of him with his prizes:

June 2011.

June was an excellent month for Herbie and I. 5 pupils took their test and all now have their full driving licence! So congratulations to Hannah, Eloise, Jess, Zoe and Beth. Also congratualations to Toby who passed his test in May.

May 2011.

Ok, so perhaps my new year's resolution wasn't that great - but hey, I'm here now and here's an update! So far this year we've had a great year - another 10 pupils have passed their tests and we've only just at the start of May! Hopefully many more to come!

So congratualtions so far to the following:

Jenny

Oli

Lori

Sam

Laura

Mia

Bryan

Hannah

Becky

and Tasha.

Well done guys! Also, Herbie's big brother Robbie (see previous news post, below) has had a bit of a makeover! He's now much sportier, has bigger brakes, air suspension and a rare Beetle Cup/RSI body kit fitted and a satin black paint job. Naturally he had to have some more stripes fitted!

January 2011.

Oh dear, it looks as if I'm not very good at keeping my news page up to date! Perhaps my new year's resolution should be to update it more often! Well, the last year has been a great one for Herbie and I. We've taught lots of lovely pupils how to drive, seen them pass their test and enjoy waving at them when we see them driving around in their own cars.

I've taken Herbie to lots of VW shows where he's met other Beetles, campers and all manner of different types of Volkswagen. He normally spends his time at shows posing for pictures with kids and adults alike!

Herbie's older brother 'Robbie' has come home to live with us too.

1st January 2010.

Today Steve and I took 'Bella' my 1958 Beetle and 'Joey' our 1966 Split Screen camper to the Somerset New Year's Road Run at the Sedgemoor Auction Centre. Hundreds of vintage and classic cars, tractors and commercial vehicles had braved the cold weather and turned up. Joey and Bella were very well behaved and enjoyed a rare winter outing, as they are normally tucked up behind closed doors until the weather is much warmer!

December 2009.

Competition in the local papers. You may have seen my competition in the local papers recently. Once the lucky winners have been chosen by the paper they can begin their free lessons!

Christmas is getting ever closer. Can't think of something to buy? How about a block book of driving lessons?

Or perhaps Pass Plus if they have already passed their test. See the prices page for my Christmas offers.

Herbie goes to Cornwall. 19/10/09.

Last week, Steve and I went on holiday to Cornwall last week and took Herbie with us. He visited lots of beaches and trundled down some scenic coastal routes.
